Dr. Boyer grew up in Westbank, BC, but her entire extended family has been in the North Peace for many generations. She completed an undergraduate in Biochemistry at UBC in 2014 and medical school at the University of Alberta in 2018. She moved to Fort St. John for residency in 2018 and has been living and working here ever since. She works at the Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic, as well as in our Oncology unit as a GP-Oncologist. She enjoys full service family medicine, including obstetrical care, and has thrived in Fort St. John. Her interests include baking, exercise, and all things Harry Potter.
My name is Natasha and I was born and raised in Northern Ontario. My medical school, training and first jobs took me many places from the Caribbean, to Chicago, to Southern Ontario, to 5 years in Saskatchewan. Since 2019, I moved to Fort St John to pursue two areas in medicine I am passionate about – Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics. When I am not working, my husband and I can be found outdoors. We hike, travel, kayak, ski, snowboard and love camping. I look forward to meeting you at the Prenatal Clinic.
The thorn among the beautiful roses. My passion for maternity is still growing from the privilege of sharing this event and the appreciation we receive.
Dr. Loomes hails from an acreage south of Calgary, AB. She completed her medical degree at University of Calgary and her family practice residency with UBC. Dr. Loomes has always cherished the miracle of pregnancy and birth. She remembers getting teary after her first experience of helping to deliver a baby as a medical student. Outside of work, Dr. Loomes loves hiking, cross country skiing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
As a training site for UBC medicine and family medicine, Fort St. John has a cohort of tremendous medical students and residents. You may choose to share your pregnancy journey and labour experience with them.
